DHMC Membership Special

Employee of Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center? We have you and your spouse covered. Join in the month of September and we waive the sign-up fee (savings of $195)! Offer available to all DHMC employees and spouses of employees. Speak with a membership coordinator to get started. Offer expires October 1, 2019.

Free CrossFit Thursdays in September

Interested in trying out CrossFit? Join our growing community. Every Thursday during the month of September, all CrossFit classes will be open and FREE for anyone to try. Classes begin on the hour, most hours of the day – head on over to to view the schedule and for more information.

Special Programs

Parents’ Night Out
Friday, September 13
Kids Club at RVC

Drop off your children (6 months or older) with our qualified staff and enjoy a night out. Light snacks, pizza, crafts, and games provided. If you bring pjs, we will also get your kids ready for bed. Limited spaces available. Available to RVC members only. Sign up in advance at the Front Desk. $15 per child / $35 for three children.

CrossFit Kids
September 7 – December 14
Saturdays 10-11am with Alaina Savage

$150 for members
$200 for non-members

our kids will gain fitness by properly learning to lift, run, and jump with our Certified Kids CrossFit Coach, all while making new friends and having an awesome time. Our season will culminate with the CrossFit Games Celebration. Kids and parents are welcome to join us in fun games and awards. And by the way, while your kids are in class, you can reclaim your time by working out at RVC (if you’re a member), getting a massage at the RVC Spa, or run some quick errands while your kid is supervised with one of the world’s top CrossFit Kids Coaches. Ballroom Bootcamp
September 16 – October 14
Mondays 6:45-7:30pm with Jenny Gelfan

$50 for singles
$95 for couples

5 week dance instruction class where you learn to have fun dancing with your partner, to great music from classics, through the last 100 years right up to today. Recruit your own partner, singles also welcome. Sign up at the Front Desk.

Yoga for Kids
September 22 – October 27
Sundays 8:45-9:15am with Sara Grote

$49 per child

Your child will be introduced to yoga’s most basic poses. Each class will embrace methods for calming the mind and body, proper breathing, and fun age appropriate movements. At an early age, this practice can help kids learn healthy lifestyle habits and set the foundation for a fit future. Your child must be able to follow and listen to the instructor’s cues to ensure safety and quality of experience. Parents/Guardians are asked to remain in the RVC Lobby or Café during each session. No pro-rates. Cancellations must be made 24 hours before program start date. Any cancellations made within the 24 hour window, will be charged the full class amount. Sign up at the Front Desk.

Yoga Teacher Training
October 5 – December 14
Every Saturday & Sunday, 1-4pm. Every Monday 5:30-8:30pm.
Instructed by Sara Grote

Become a certified yoga teacher with the River Valley Club! Deepen your education and knowledge during this comprehensive and practical approach to yoga. Specialize in Vinyasa flow and will cover alignment, adjustments, philosophy, restorative, pre/postnatal Hatha Yoga and an overall understanding of all yoga. Learn more.

New Classes

CrossFit from 8:30-9:30am on Mondays with Chris Wilder.
Experienced athletes are welcome at our regular group times. Please take note that these classes are often faster-paced and recommended for participants that have confidence in the language, technique and fitness required for CrossFit. Takes place in the CrossFit Box.

Hot Yoga from 5:30-6:15pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays with Sara Grote.
You will warm right up when you join this yoga class. Come ready to move, as you will integrate mindful breathing, encourage strength, flexibility, and balance. The heat will rise to 85 degrees. Hot Yoga is associated with many benefits, such as improved flexibility, strength, cardiovascular conditioning, increased blood circulation, as well as detoxification and stress reduction.  Takes place in the Yoga Studio.

Total Body Water Training from 8:30-9:30am on Mondays with Eileen Saunders.
Join our multi-level-intensity water class. While working out, the water provides resistance with a combination of no-impact aerobics, interval and strength training, and flexibility/ROM exercises. This class will use props such as flotation belts, ankle cuffs, noodles, and dumbbells to enhance strength training. Come ready to work your full body! All levels welcomed. Takes place in the Recreational Pool.

  • Yoga for Athletes on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:45pm is now beginning at 6:30pm.
  • Fundamentals of Pilates on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:15am is now instructed by Sara Grote.
  • Spinning on Saturdays at 9:30am is now instructed by a rotating instructor.
  • CrossFit on Tuesdays at 8am is now instructed by Alaina Savage and begins at 8:30am.
  • CrossFit on Wednesdays at 6:15pm is now instructed by Ralph Regione.
  • CrossFit on Tuesdays at 6:15pm is now instructed by Garrett Rolsma.

Discontinued Class

  • STRONG on Wednesdays at 5:30pm with Jennifer Sargent.
