RVC Names Andrew Gunberg Director of Tennis

The River Valley Club is happy to announce that Andrew Gunberg, who has been our Head Tennis Pro since June of 2015, is now Director of Tennis

Mark Lewis, our previous Director, recently accepted a position as Director of Tennis at the Beaumont Tennis Center, a new 24-court facility in Texas. We thank Mark for his dedication over the last seven and a half years and wish him well in his new endeavor.

Andrew worked closely with Mark over the last year and has been involved in every aspect of the tennis program; we are confident this will be a smooth transition and are extremely excited to have someone of Andrew’s caliber take over our tennis program.

Before coming to the River Valley Club, Andrew was the Director of Tennis at an eight-court facility in Western Colorado. Under his leadership, he nearly doubled the tennis programming options and increased membership by one third during his first year.

He also directed a Junior Tennis Academy in Northern Colorado and led one of his teams to an 8th place finish at Nationals. Several of those players went on to compete at the college level and achieve national rankings.

As a player, Andrew competed for Ferris State University which was ranked in the top 20 nationally in Division II when he was on the team. At Ferris State, Andrew was in the Professional Tennis Management Program. He currently holds certifications from both USPTR and USPTA.
