How did you get into fitness?
I entered a high-stress consulting job after college and needed a designated time to engage in mindfulness. I started doing power yoga in 2015, and slowly added strength training and a cardiovascular routine once I noticed how much strength in my body aided my emotional stability.

What are your goals for your group exercise class participants?
I would like for participants to leave my class feeling pride and peace in their bodies and minds. Ideally, participants will attend my yoga classes regularly and notice increased balance, stability, flexibility over time.

Why do you like working at RVC?
Everyone so far has been incredibly welcoming. I enjoy working in a noncompetitive culture that encourages folks to help each other up.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I moved to Vermont to enjoy the mountains! I love skiing, snowboarding, alpine touring, and hiking. I also trail run and play guitar when there’s no snow on the ground.

Are there any other fun facts you’d like to share?
I’ve been a vegetarian for my whole life!

‘Can’t’ is no longer in my vocabulary, and I have a sense of pride in my ability to work toward a goal and not only achieve it, but often exceed it.
