How did you get into fitness?
I wanted to stand on my head! So I began yoga classes in 1976. I studied the Iyengar method beginning in 1980 in Ann Arbor. I enjoy walking and hiking.

What are your goals for your group exercise class participants?
My short-term goal is to have a good experience in yoga class in the moment and, in the long term, to experience all the benefits of yoga practice that continues through the months and years.

Why do you like working at RVC?
RVC provides a great yoga room with natural light and good equipment. Members are open-minded and interested in a variety of yoga possibilities. RVC helps us all maintain our health.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Being out in my garden gives me joy. I love getting outdoors to walk for exercise. I enjoy being part of a book discussion group at the Howe Library. I have a serious interest in genealogy.

Are there any other fun facts you’d like to share?
I grew up in Cleveland and spend my summers in Michigan. Some of my ancestors lived in colonial Mason, New Hampshire. I have one foot in New England and one in the midwest.
