How did you get into fitness?
I became a fitness instructor when I left the Fort Lauderdale Ballet Company. It is the perfect outlet for my love of music, movement, and dance. I hope everyone finds their way to keep moving and fit so that they can look forward to every workout!

What are your goals for your group exercise class participants?
I hope my participants have fun! I believe exercise should be a stress reliever and something to enjoy while simultaneously maintaining or improving physical and mental health.

Why do you like working at RVC?
RVC has the perfect non-competitive environment for exercising. As an RVC member 70 pounds ago, I had suffered some previous injuries that had kept me from moving for several years. But once I could, I tried one class at a time at RVC until I found the ones that suited me best on my journey back to fitness. I felt welcomed and encouraged in each class, which later made me want to join the staff to pay it forward to others.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I spend most of my spare time at Zumba conventions these days. I also enjoy hiking, biking, downhill skiing, travelling and singing.

Are there any other fun facts you’d like to share?
I also spend a lot of time caring for my 95-year-old grandma, and she is a true delight!

The best part of your day

Now is the time to focus on your health and fitness.

‘Can’t’ is no longer in my vocabulary, and I have a sense of pride in my ability to work toward a goal and not only achieve it, but often exceed it.
