Dr. John Kravic PT, DPT, OCS is a board-certified clinical specialist in orthopedics – awarded by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. He is currently enrolled in two certification programs including The McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment certification as well as Integrated Dry Needling certification. Dr. Kravic (“John”) specializes in orthopedic conditions of both the spine and extremities. He has an extensive history working with both amateur and professional athletes and recognizes and utilizes this same experience working with a full spectrum of patient types.
Dr. Kravic graduated with honors from Merrimack College, earning a bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine. During his time at Merrimack he was a member of the football team, winning a Northeast-10 Conference championship as a junior, and serving as a co-captain his senior year. He was a member of the Northeast-10 commissioner’s honor roll all 8 semesters in college.
After graduation from the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Franklin Pierce John gained experience at a private outpatient practice in Portsmouth, NH. He then completed a post-professional Orthopedic Residency program at the University of Michigan receiving intensive training in best-practice for treatment of both spine and extremity conditions. He has received training in three major physical therapy paradigms – Norwegian manual therapy, Osteopathic, and MDT. He uses a multimodal hybrid approach to help patients reduce pain, optimize function, and return to the activities they love. He believes PT and conservative care interventions should always be first-line treatments in the prevention and management of musculoskeletal problems.
At his day job, Dr. Kravic is involved in program development and clinical research designed to optimize healthcare delivery to some of the most vulnerable patient populations. His clinical interests include manual therapy, pain neuroscience, dry needling, and blood-flow restriction training. John lives with his wife in Sunapee, NH where he is actively involved in volunteering with the adaptive ski program at Mount Sunapee.
