January Specials, Class Additions, and Changes

Please see below for specials we are running, and updates to our group fitness schedule effective January 1. For the January class schedule, please view the calendar, or if you’re a Club member, you can download our Club app and view the schedule on the go and get access to live updates regarding class changes and cancellations.

RVC Membership Special

Beginning January 1, we are launching a new member referral program for new members. All members are eligible for a $50 e-gift card for every new member they refer to RVC. Make sure the new member mentions your name and we will automatically generate and send you an email to claim your gift card to a variety of online retailers.

CrossFit RVC Membership Special

Beginning January 1, we are launching a brand new membership special. Join our growing CrossFit community with a 4-month commitment and we will give you the two CrossFit Elements classes for free ($120 value). This beginner training works through specific movements with a focus on technical skill, rather than prescribed weight. All new athletes are required to attend two one-on-one training sessions with a CrossFit Coach. This introductory program normally costs $120.

Climbing Wall Reroute

The climbing wall will be closed on January 7 for a complete reroute. Join us on January 8 from 5:30-8pm to try to the new routes! Members can climb for free. $25 for non-members.

FITshop Monthly Special

Stop by the FITshop and check out our new assortment of fitness-related accessories. From yoga props, to tennis dampeners, we have everything you need to make your workout even better. All January long we are discounting accessories by 30%! Offer valid January 1-31.

Swing Swing Swing
January 13 – February 10
Every Monday night

A chance to learn or refresh your East Coast Swing dancing. Swing is a social dance, so bring a friend or partner and get ready to have fun! Pick up a flyer for details.

RVC Triathlon Club
March 9 – May 29

A pre-season triathlon training program created for all levels from the most novice to the most seasoned triathlete to make 2020 your best year in triathlon. We’ll focus on your swim/bike/run skills and speed for all triathlon distances. This program includes two indoor sprint events and a 12-week training program for all participants and offers coached training for a limited number of athletes. Certified Personal Trainer, Alex Figueroa, has guided numerous athletics to their first race, into their longest races, and their fastest races. As a seasoned athlete, coach, and expert in all things biomechanical, Alex takes a methodical approach towards coaching to provide the most injury-proof season possible. Co-coached by Pam Crandall. Les Mills Launch Party
Saturday, January 18
Be the first to try the newest release of choreography! Les Mills is a global group fitness experience like no other! Join fellow fitness fans, trainers and instructors during our next launch party. BodyCombat 9-10am, BodyPump 10:15-11:15am, BodyFlow 11:30am-12:30pm. Pick up a flyer for details.

Pilates Reformer & Apparatus Small Group Training
January 13 – February 13
Two class options:
Monday/Thursday from 10-11am, with Karen Zook.
Tuesday/Thursday from 5:30-6:30pm, with Noriko Tani.
$279 for members, $363 for non-members.

In our private Pilates Studio, you will improve torso stability and postural alignment while working limbs in a range of motion. You’ll receive an effective, no-impact workout that is also joint-friendly. During this specialized training, you will learn and engage proper form to increase the productivity of your movements. You will use the Reformers, Cadillac Tables, Barrels, Wonda Chairs, and enjoy the combinations of Mat Pilates! All levels welcome and no Pilates experience is needed. Pick up a flyer for details.

January 13 – February 20
Five class options:
Monday/Thursday from 9-10am, with Katherine Grainger.
Tuesday/Thursday from 10-11am, with Lindsey Cummings (for 55+ years old).
Monday/Wednesday from 5:30-6:30pm, with Kory Cazeault.
Monday/Wednesday from 6:30-7:30pm, with Abbey-Kaye Ritter.
Tuesday/Thursday from 6-7pm, with Kory Cazeault.
$299 for members, $389 for non-members.

A six-week small group training program designed to help you lose inches off your body and feel your absolute best. Each class is 55 minutes and coached by a RVC certified personal trainer. The classes focus on a specialized format such as strength training, endurance, or core. All levels welcome. Pick up a flyer for details.

Swim Lessons for Adults
January 14 – February 20
Two class options:
Beginner: Tuesday/Thursday from 11:30am-12:30pm, with Pam Crandall.
Intermediate: Tuesday/Thursday from 12:30-1:30pm, with Pam Crandall.
$300 for members, $390 for non-members.

Beginner swim is for clients who cannot swim/have not had formal swim training. We will start with the basics: gaining comfort in the water, learning to breathe, floating on the back, and kicking.
Intermediate swim is for clients who are comfortable in the water and have basic swim abilities. We will work on breathing, refining freestyle stroke techniques and gaining fluency in the water. Pick up a flyer for details and information to sign up.

Upcoming Winter Swim Programs

Swim lessons are a wonderful and safe way to learn to swim while promoting fun and fitness. We offer several options for all age groups and levels. The calm, quiet atmosphere and high staff-to-client ratio at RVC facilitates successful learning and engagement.

New Classes

Glowga from 6-7pm on Fridays with Sara Grote.
Flow with a glow. A powerful vinyasa flow that allows you to let go of ego with the lights down low and black lights on. Move and feel powerful, as we use and move glow sticks through the air. Enjoy watching the body move through the darkness with bright colors Takes place in Yoga Studio.

BodyPump from 8:30-9:30am on Mondays with Nitzah Winters.
The original LES MILLS barbell class, will sculpt, tone and strengthen your entire body. Focusing on low weight loads and high repetition movements, you’ll burn fat, gain strength and quickly produce lean body muscle conditioning. Takes place in Studio 1 and is replacing AST.

  • Spinning on Sundays at 8am in now instructed by Janet Greger (no more rotating instructor).
  • Total Body Water Training on Wednesdays at 5:30pm is now instructed by Elaine Waterman.
  • Boot Camp on Tuesdays with Alex Figueroa now begins at 6:45pm.
  • Pilates Reformer on Wednesdays at 5:45pm is now instructed by Karen Zook (no more rotating instructor).

Discontinued/Replaced Classes

  • Boot Camp on Thursdays at 6:30pm with Linnea Osterberg.
  • AST on Mondays at 8:30am with Janet Greger.
  • Advanced Pilates Reformer on Tuesdays at 10am with Marie White.
