December Specials, Class Additions, and Changes

Please see below for specials we are running, and updates to our group fitness schedule effective December 1. For the December class schedule, please view the calendar, or if you’re a Club member, you can download our Club app and view the schedule on the go and get access to live updates regarding class changes and cancellations.

December Personal Training and Pilates Reformer Training Special

All month long, purchase 6 packs of Personal Training and/or Pilates Reformer Training (6 packs or intro 3 packs) at a discounted rate! This is the one time of the year we discount our training packages, so stock up now! We are also now offering 1-pack Pilates packs, for those just visiting or looking to try out our Pilates programming.

December Membership Special

While your kids are in town or friends/family are visiting, you can purchase them a short term membership during the month of December. All month long, you can purchase 2, 4, or 6 week memberships. Speak with a membership coordinator to get started!

Climbing Wall Updates

Join us for our 3rd annual Climbing Wall social on Tuesday December 10 at 6:30pm! The wall will be open for it’s regular hours at 5:30, but we will have food and drinks after the first hour. Join us to reflect on another great year of climbing at the wall. Bring a friend!

Myzone Challenge – Members vs Staff

Rules: RVC Members compete against staff to reach the following MEP goals: Members: 350,000 MEPs, Staff: 72,000 MEPs. If you have a belt already, you’ll be automatically entered into the challenge (you can manually opt out if you’d like). If you do not have a Myzone belt, you can purchase one from the FITshop or demo one from the front desk or FITshop to give one a try and see how beneficial they are. Challenge is active November 29 – December 24. Email myzone@rivervalleyclub.com if you have any questions.

Parents’ Night Out
Friday, December 13
6-8:30pm
FitKids at RVC

Enjoy date night with worry-free childcare at FitKids on Friday, December 13. Drop off your children (6 months or older) with our qualified staff and enjoy a night out. Light snacks, pizza, crafts and games provided. If you bring pj’s, we will also get your kids ready for bed. $25 per child, $15 for each additional child. Limited spaces available – sign up at Club Services.

Les Mills Launch Party
Saturday, January 18

Be the first to try the newest release of choreography! Les Mills is a global group fitness experience like no other! Join fellow fitness fans, trainers and instructors during our next launch party. BodyCombat 9-10am, BodyPump 10:15-11:15am, BodyFlow 11:30am-12:30pm. Pick up a flyer for details.

Upcoming Winter Swim Programs

Swim lessons are a wonderful and safe way to learn to swim while
promoting fun and fitness. We offer several options for all age groups and levels. The calm, quiet atmosphere and high staff-to-client ratio at RVC
facilitates successful learning and engagement.

New Classes

Hot Mat Pilates from 7:30-8:30am on Tuesdays and Thursdays with Sara Grote and 8:30-9:30am with Teresa Urnezis.
Work at a low-impact, high intensity pace. Enjoy using a variety of props and have fun with the energetic upbeat music. Come ready to rock your core! Takes place in Studio 1 and is replacing Pilates Mix. Takes place in Studio 1.

Hydro Active from 5:30-6:30pm on Tuesdays with Eileen Saunders and 5:30-6:30pm on Thursdays with Donna Schlossser.
An energetic aquatic class that fuses intervals of muscle conditioning and aerobics. You will benefit from both a cardiovascular and strength training workout! All the benefits of water’s resistance with minimal stress on your joints. Takes place in the recreation pool and is replacing Aqua Conditioning.

Class Changes

  • Boot Camp on Wednesdays at 6am in now instructed by Daniel Naranjo.
  • Boot Camp on Tuesdays at 7pm now begins at 6:30pm and is instructed by Linnea Osterberg.

Discontinued/Replaced Classes

  • Deep/Shallow Aqua Intervals on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:30am.
  • Pool Pilates on Mondays at 12pm and Fridays at 11am.
  • Advanced Reformer on Wednesdays at 10am.
  • Pilates Mix on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12pm and Wednesdays at 8:30am.
  • Aqua Conditioning on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30pm.
