Are you winning the battle against stress and gravity? I wasn’t. With chronic lower back pain, it was going to be an uphill battle to shed the 30+lbs I had packed on since high school while holding down a full time job and with a newborn at home. But battle I did!
I decided to implement what I had learned as an engineer, to use a logical, structured approach to problem solving and apply that to my fitness and health with a strong focus on the principles of success.
I relentlessly researched nutrition, muscle function, anatomy, soft tissue, rehab as well as meditation, motivation, decision making, time management, and goal setting. I was able to shed the weight quickly, eliminate the lower back pain and enjoy the activities that I love to do such as kayaking, telemark skiing, mountain biking, soccer, hockey and golf, as well as pick up a few new sports such as barefoot running and stand up paddle boarding.
This wellness obsession has since turned into a full-time profession as a successful personal trainer. Through my experience and my commitment to lifelong learning, I have been able to help my clients achieve their fitness and health goals by providing customized programs based on individual needs assessments that focus on their strengths as well as concentrating on areas of concern.
