Special Programs

ReShape
May 13 – June 20
Tuesdays/Thursdays: 9-10am, with Katherine Grainger
Tuesdays/Thursdays: 11am-12pm, with John Grainger
Mondays/Wednesdays: 5:30-6:30pm, with Kory Cazeault

A six week small group training program. Each class is 55 minutes and coached by a RVC certified personal trainer. The classes focus on a specialized format such as strength training, endurance, or core. All levels welcome. $299 for members / $389 for non-members.

Restorative and Thai Yoga
Sunday May 19, 2-4pm. Hosted by Sonya Carter, assisted by Meg Linn.

Restorative yoga seeks to achieve physical, mental, and emotional relaxation with the aid of props. Poses are of being (not doing), of practicing deliberate stillness. During restorative yoga, the nervous system becomes quieter, allowing tension to melt away as your become present to what is happening in the body and mind, moment by moment. This two hour class will begin with gentle stretching and movement to warm the muscles, creating space in the body and allowing all of the restlessness and stress of the day to dissolve. Meg Linn will assist throughout the workshop and offer gentle Thai Yoga massage adjustments to anyone who would like to experience this technique in addition to the restorative poses.

Murph Fundraising Event
Sunday May 26, starting at 9:30am.

CrossFit RVC is running their annual workout fundraiser to benefit the Michael Murphy Foundation. The workout consists of a 1 mile run followed by 100 pull-ups, 200 pushups, and 300 squats and then another 1 mile run. The workout can be done individually, with a partner, or with a team. There are scaling options as well. BBQ to follow (CrossFit RVC will be supplying dogs and burgers). Folks are encouraged to bring their own drinks and a side dish.

Class Addition

Slow Flow Yoga
Sundays from 5:30-6:30pm.
With Sara Grote. A challenging, yet mindful slow vinyasa practice focusing on strong and anatomical alignment and breath movement while building core strength and fostering ease and mind. Takes place in the Yoga Studio. All levels are welcome.

Class Changes

  • Yoga for Athletes with Sara Grote on Tuesdays and Thursdays, will now be 5:45-6:45pm. Takes place in the Yoga Studio.
  • Mind-Fresh Meditation with Linda B on Tuesdays and Thursdays, will now be 9:30-9:50am. Takes place in the Yoga Studio.
  • Starting May 23, Adrianne Pelton is now teaching Spinning on Thursdays from 12-1pm (formerly Gabrielle Rossi).
  • Denise Breadlove is now teaching Power Up! on Thursdays at 4:15-5:15pm (formerly Kory Cazeault).

Class Cancellations

  • Learn to Play/Move on Wednesdays at 11am.
  • Hot Yoga on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays at 5:30pm.
