Class Additions

STRONG by Zumba
Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30pm.
With Jennifer Sargent. NO DANCE (Really!  ZERO DANCE!), co-ed high intensity interval training program.  STRONG revolutionizes workouts as you know them, melding strong, upbeat rhythms with powerful, high intensity cardio and strength conditioning moves to fire your fitness potential up a notch! Think progressive resistance and overload, plyometrics, core and functional training using only your own body weight, all rolled into one dynamic, results-driven class, guaranteed to challenge your entire body, each and every workout.  This class is designed for participants looking to increase their intensity levels of training, maximize workout benefits and see real results from their efforts. This means that high intensity moves (such as high knees, burpees, jumping jacks, etc.) are interchanged with lower intensity moves (like lunges, jump rope, kickboxing) throughout the entire workout, making a STRONG by Zumba™ class doable, even for those starting out less fit. At the same time, the STRONG by Zumba™ program can provide an incredibly high energy, maximum demand workout for more fit individuals, challenging them enough to take them to new personal heights of fitness achievement. The instructor, Jenn Sargent, is an AFAA certified group fitness trainer who can modify all moves to suit your individual needs.  Takes place in Studio 1.

Broadway Cardio
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:45-7:45pm.
With Jennifer Sargent. Love to dance but you’re not so good at it? Two left feet?  Think it’s fun anyway?  And want a great cardio workout at the same time?  Put away the self-consciousness and let us crank up the latest dance tracks while you get your cardio – a great dance workout with lots of laughs, claps and moves to take to the club (or the living room). It’s judgment free and power-packed.  In each class, you’ll warm up, learn the moves for the dance combination, and then take it up to tempo with a jam that will have you sweating, smiling and, well, killin’ it. Takes place in Studio 1.

Court Fit
Mondays from 8-8:50am.
With Mike Stephenson. This tennis fitness class incorporates injury prevention, mobility, strength and conditioning and agility exercises, as well as tennis specific movement and technique drills. All aimed to improve your performance on the court.  Group training drills will involve a racquet so please bring own. Michael has a Master’s Degree in Exercise Science (strength and conditioning), an undergraduate degree in Musculoskeletal Therapy, and is an Australian-trained level II tennis coach with 10 years of experience coaching beginners through to Division 1 college athletes.  Takes place in the Group Training Studio. $20 for members. $26 for non-members.
